The Ohio Northern University chapter of the American Chemical Society Student Affiliate is both a professional and social organization that is upheld by students in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Our key objective is to aid students in their scientific studies and enhance awareness of opportunity in the discipline of chemistry at ONU and in surrounding communities.

Chartered in 1947, the ONU chapter has received several awards and certificates throughout its history.

Membership in the ONU ACS Student Affiliate is open to any Ohio Northern University student. Those students majoring in chemistry, biochemistry or pre-medical science are encouraged to participate.

Students from other university affiliate groups are welcome to attend ONU ACS Student Affiliate functions as guests. University faculty involved in chemistry-related fields are also welcome to attend ACS meetings and events.

The American Chemical Society is a professional organization of more than 150,000 individual members at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry. It is based in Washington, D.C. We have provided a link on this page to the ACS web site.
