NCF = Northern Christian Fellowship
What is NCF?
Northern Christian Fellowship (NCF) is a body of passionate followers of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create opportunities for people in all places of their journey towards a Christ-like life to grow, and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard it. We believe that everything starts with love, and so we strive to show Christ's love in all that we do. We use small groups, discipleship pairs, and a weekly large group meeting (TNT) to help people grow closer to God, so that they, in turn, will go spread the good news. We believe that forgiveness and grace are found in Christ alone, and we earnestly seek Him with all of our hearts, for He alone is worthy of our praise. It is our prayer that people will find the love, hope, and joy that only a life with Christ can give us.
--> There is one God, existing in a Trinity of persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (John 15:26), who are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power (Matthew 3:16-17).
--> Jesus Christ was at the same time perfectly God and perfectly man (John 1:1-5, 14), by whom all things were created (Colossians 1:16). He became man through conception of the Holy Spirit and virgin birth, and He died on the cross as a perfect and complete sacrifice for our sins. He arose from the dead in a physical body and ascended into Heaven, were He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for all those who come to God by Him (Hebrews 7:25).
--> The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by God and without error as originally written, and that is the only infallible rule of faith and practice for the believer (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
--> The universal sinfulness and guilt of all humankind makes them subject to God's wrath and condemnation (Romans 3:23, 6:23; Hebrews 9:27).
--> The atoning death of Jesus Christ (1 John 2:1-2) and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation, and that only those who receive Jesus Christ by personal faith are born of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; Acts 4:12; John 14:6).
--> The imminent, personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that the hope of His reappearing has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer (Matthew 24:30-31; John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1 John 3:2-3).
--> The resurrection of both the saved and the lost - the saved to everlasting life and blessedness; the lost to everlasting punishment (Revelation 20:11-15, Hebrews 9:27-28).
