Photo/Rachel SmithTake a stroll down Main Street in Ada and you might notice the lively decorated window displays of the Bella Rose Boutique. The shop has graced the corner of Buckeye and Main Street for six and a half years. Unbeknownst to many college students this isn’t just some small town country bumpkin store. The shop contains high quality products and has a loyal clientele that comes from as far away as Cleveland and even out of state.
Bella Rose is a women’s apparel and accessories boutique. It has formal wear as well as causal wear. They have styles popular for college students, yet at the same time you could go to Bella Rose to find a gift for your mother. They also have a wide variety of gifts, jewelry and purses.
The store is owned by partners Melissa Miller and Carl and Kathy Andre. The store manager and buyer is the Andre’s daughter, and current ONU student, Courtney Andre. Andre is a junior marketing major. Managing the shop has given Courtney great experience for life after college.
“I plan to own my own store someday,” she said.
To choose clothing lines for the shop she attends two or three style shows a year in Chicago and Detroit.

“We have fixed skirts for the tennis team and sewn letters onto sorority shirts,” Andre said.
Any college student not handy with a needle and thread can bring items in for fixing. Bella Rose also offers a 10 percent discount to ONU students.
The small boutique carries items that are certainly unique. However, Belle Rose also carries some name-brand items at a lower price than some area stores. It is the perfect place to find that special gift for someone or to treat yourself. Bella Rose is a small gem that needs to be discovered by the Ohio Northern community.
