Student Senate met in the upstairs Ball Room of the McIntosh Center for their weekly General Assembly meeting on Wednesday Oct. 15.
The meeting began with a recommendation for a new student organization to be formed on campus. This new organization is called Beta Alpha Psi and was represented by Sarah McDicken, a senior accounting major at ONU. Beta Alpha Psi promised to represent academic excellence in the business field while volunteering community service hours and personal income assistance to students. The organization was approved when twenty-eight student senate members voted yes and zero against.

Giverson, a junior communication arts major, was inaugurated towards the end of the meeting and is now part of the student senate herself. One of the issues she will be dealing with immediately is that of bringing the students living in Affinity Commons closer to campus.
