Reflecting on the Republicans

After returning from the Democratic National Convention, I had amazing insight into conventions that continued on with the Republican National Convention. Here are some of my reflections as and outsider looking it, but with previous convention experience.

Change We Can Believe In

Hello Everyone!

It has been awhile since I posted, but I think all of us (on both the
DNC and RNC sides) how busy we would be during the entire two weeks, but
especially the last week. My placements with Lifetime and my self-acquired
placement with the Ohio Democratic Party kept me really busy ( and really sleep
deprived for that matter)! But, I am now ready to share with you my experience
from Thursday, our last full day in Denver, and the last day of the DNC.

Days Three and Four

"Often we can achieve an even better result when we stumble yet are willing to start over, when we don't give up after a mistake, when something doesn't come easily but we throw ourselves into trying, when we are not afraid of appearing perfectly polished." - Sharon SalzbergThis seems to be a fitting quote for the last journal while still here at the RNC.

late analysis of the 4th night in Denver

I know this is late, but I thought I'd say a few words about Obama's DNC speech.

Fortunately, all the ONU crew who wanted to were able to attend the speech. The weather fully cooperated as it was probably our most pleasant day in Denver.

"If men were angels, no government would be necessary"

James Madison was right about this one.

"I learn from experience, and this is certainly an experience."

Final Post!

My trip home was uneventful almost to the point of being boring, but I'm getting ahead of myself, because I haven't written since last Saturday after my visit to the Hare Krishna temple, which I won't talk anymore about. The reason why is because that the second week of the program is when things start to get crazy. Sunday was uneventful really, except that we (Atlantis and I) had training for EMILY's list. Then we walked around Denver for awhile and saw that it was starting to get crazy.

To Each Their Own Opinion

Hey folks,

This post is going to cover days 3 and 4 of my TWC RNC experience so prepare for a long read ;). Though, this will give you a lot of info and also something to make up for the days I am not able to post next week. So here it goes!
