Biden for VP!

After much discussion and deliberation from the ONU delegation over the past few days in our group meetings, it was so incredibly exciting for us to have been awake last night for the announcement of Obama's VP!  At 1:02 am I received a text from a wonderful guy from back home announcing that Biden was the pick.  Shortly after the ONU Girls apartment surrounded my computer as we read reports from CNN and The Washington Post. 

Will Biden bring enough votes to the Obama ticket?  Firstly, what will it take for Obama to win?  Winning in swing states like Ohio is a must for the candidate.  Due to Howard Dean's 50 state proposal and implementation of more concentrated efforts in western and southern states like Colorado and Virginia, Obama may pick up electoral votes in these states.  Through observation, it seems like adding Biden will capitalize on the unsure elderly as well as some of those of our parents generation.  We will have to see what happens over the next 8 weeks!
