Hola friends! I am very excited to be your new Secretary of Communications/Newsletter co-chair. I am a sophomore majoring in public relations and Spanish. Growing up in small town Ohio, I have lived amongst corn and soy beans in Columbus Grove my entire life. Moving to Ada was really a shock. I am also the oldest of four children and I contribute my strong sense of motivation and leadership to the trials and tribulations I had to endure as the “oldest child.”

I decided to become involved in Senate this year because I became aware of the communications position and felt that I could be an asset to the organization. What better use is there of my current public relations knowledge in order to help Senate grow in the communications field and help myself grow through valuable, relevant experience?

Besides Senate, I am also a member of several other organizations on campus including PRSSA, NCF, University Singers and Kappa Phi. Looking ahead, I plan to use my PR degree to work for a non-profit organization somewhere warm. And when free time exists I love spending it outdoors, traveling, making music, hanging out with people, and trying new things.
