The Ohio Northern University Panhellenic Council celebrates April as the National Panhellenic Conference’s Advisor Appreciation Month by recognizing contributions from chapter advisors.

The sisters of Delta Zeta recognize Dr. David Kisor, professor of pharmacokinetics and department chair of pharmaceutical and bio-medical sciences, as an outstanding chapter advisor.

“Dr. Kisor is a kind and caring advisor who looks out for the well being of the entire chapter as well as the individual members,” Delta Zeta president and junior history major Carrie Ouellette said. “Dr. Kisor has been gracious enough to help support the women of Delta Zeta in various ways including donating to our national philanthropic projects, helping with standards events, and being accessible whenever we need him. The day to day operations would not run as smoothly without the help of Dr. Kisor.”

The Ohio Northern University chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta notes the contributions of Office of Admissions Counselor Erin Chandler to the chapter.

“Erin is always readily available to any sister who needs her professional guidance, and she is constantly helping us better our chapter at many different levels,” junior biology major and Kappa Alpha Theta president Melissa Straub said. “Due to her on campus connection, Erin has greatly helped us at any time in need, and for this, we are incredibly appreciative. Erin is truly the best advisor we could ask for; she is a leader, an unbiased ear and an amazing alumnus who is always seeking the best for Kappa Alpha Theta, Zeta Sigma Chapter. “

The sisters of Alpha Xi Delta recognize Dr. Karen Kier, professor of clinical pharmacy and director of the Non-traditional Doctor of Pharmacy program, as a noteworthy advisor.

“ Dr. Kier has put in a lot of time holding meetings with individual sisters struggling academically and helping us to brainstorm ways to improve our academics as a chapter,” junior pharmaceutical business major and Alpha Xi Delta president Kelly Fields said. “As part of our academic plan this year, she’s donated a $100 iTunes gift card to give to the sister that submits the most flex hours in a quarter. Flex hours are anytime spent outside of the classroom working on schoolwork.”

Finally, the ONU chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha is honored to have Dr. Kristen Finley, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, as its faculty advisor.

“As a former Greek woman herself, Dr. Finley lends herself fully to Zeta Tau Alpha, believing in us and our potential,” P3 and Zeta Tau Alpha president Tiffany Dao said. “She recognizes that our involvement in Greek life will strengthen and empower us as emerging leaders, and she supports us in our academic and philanthropic endeavors.  Always holding a smile, Dr. Finley has an amazing personality that is just so welcoming. To the sisters of ZTA, she is our mentor, confidant, cheerleader and friend. “
